This was a nice, small, quiet campground. We toured two other campgrounds in town and they were for young partiers. They could use better river access for swimming, but there's a couple nice parks in town with good swimming access. So between the beautiful Current River, full hookups, cable TV, game room, quiet atmosphere and super clean restrooms, all for under $40 for a family of four: how can you top that? We really liked this campground. This is our first choice for southern Missouri Current River area.
We've been to Garrison's a few times now over the years. They have entertainment like karaoke in the evenings during the summer months on Fri. and Sat. The electric only sites are close to the Meramec River which was nice to cool off in. The resort is a floating outfitter also so the place is busy with them hauling canoes and rafts all day. They also have a Country Kitchen Diner that offers A breakfast buffet and Saturday night BBQ. Overall with the pool, river access, float trips, horseback riding, good camping prices, and karaoke for the kids on the weekends it's overall one of the nicer parks in Steelville.
Very nice beautiful park. From what we saw it is probably the best park in that area. This park is just as nice as the pictures on its web site show it. This park should be your first choice in the Rapid City area!!!
Nice full hookup site in the center of the park. If there were no trees separating the sites it could be considered a parking lot like others have labeled it but the trees help.lots of woods around for the kids to play with other kids safely. We saw coyote three times in the park. We couldn't open our awning due to lack of space from a pine tree but it didn't matter to us we didn't see the need to open it anyway. You don't go to Yellowstone to sit around the camper.
Probably the nicest park in the area, very nice mountain view, only complaint would be the that the park is on a steep hillside, this is our park of choice for Estes Park area.
Nice park on the Huzzah river that offers floating trips. The weekend we stayed the main full hookup area had been reserved so we were put in a field w/ hook ups,and the kids didn't have a playground to use due it being in the reserved area. No discount was offered due to the restricted access. Also the showers were coin operated. ($35 per night, no pool, no shade,no useable playground, and coin showers)
The park was a good for overnight stay. It was practically empty, shaded site, the pool was nice but needed cleaning, dog barking at a camp next to us woke us up at 3:00 am. It had a fishing lake but we did not get a chance to use it. We would stay here again if traveling through the area.
Very nice park, very impressed, will definitely stay here again. Short drive to ocean (Navarre Beach) only complaints are water tasted bad, and no drinks allowed at pool. price we paid was for primo beach front spot.
